What is a Hasbro Furreal Squawkers Mccaw Parrot?
Let’s face it; owning a parrot can be very expensive. The price tags on most talking parrots like the Blue and Gold Macaws range from $800 to a couple of thousands of dollars and to add to that you have food, cages or aviaries, assortments of toys and veterinarian bills.
Don’t get me wrong the real deal can make wonderful pets. To avoid a lot of the expenses the Hasbro Furreal Squawkers Mccaw Parrot could be a second choice and a lot less care and maintenance. Recommended for children 5 through 10 years of age this parrot is well loved by adults too!
The Hasbro FurReal Squawkers has velvet like green, yellow/gold and stunning blue feathers and the lines under the eyes just like the Blue and Gold Macaws of Central America. A little smaller than the real deal they only measures 12″ tall. Although for being a toy parrot he is very intelligent.
As with a real parrot you can teach the Hasbro Furreal Squawkers Mccaw Parrot to talk and he will repeat words that you tell him so be careful. His feet are connected by a joint that can pivot which enables him to stand on a perch or stand on a flat surface. Because of the innovative animatronics he can move his wings when excited and cock his head when puzzled and even get into singing and bopping to music.
Just like a real Macaw they can squawk with the best of them when they get upset or trying to get your attention. He has a highly developed voice detection system and has his own way to responding to “Hello” or “Are you hungry”, that will crack you up. He can be programmed to sing, respond to just about any question or anything else you want him to say using the remote control that comes with him. This bird also comes with his own cracker for when he needs to be fed how is that for keep the cost down?
The Squawkers Mccaw Parrot can be as lively and moody and very playful just the authentic Blue and Gold Macaws and a whole less messy. He already has a 45 word vocabulary, phrases and sound effects, and of course his signature “Squawk, Squawk, Squawk” song and dance. By teaching additional words and phrases, just like you would to the real deal parrot you can even train Squawkers to talk back.
The big differences between the two of these parrots are the expense, the upkeep and the care they both need. They can both with the right care bring loads of unpredictable fun and pleasure for the whole family.
