Blue and Gold Macaws (Ara ararauna) for sale, also known as a Blue and Yellow Macaw are intelligent and sociable birds.  Blue and gold macaws are native to South and Central America, where they inhabit forests and woodlands. Their range includes Venezuela south to Peru, Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay, as well as parts of Panama.
These Macaws have a bold blue body and dark lemon-yellow not their chests, a green strip of feathers just above its black beak, and a black feathers just below its beak.
Diet:  Lafeber’s Macaw & Cockatoo Nutri-Berries (80 % of a daily diet), and a variety of fresh fruit, veggies and protein daily.
Life span:Â 70 years
Size:Â about 34 inches in length and weighs about 2.3 pounds
Behavior:Â These macaws are large birds and can be extremely loud and vocal.
Care: A macaw or double macaw cage is recommended. The standard macaw cage size recommended is 60 inches in height x 48 width x  36 depth. These cages should have “bar” spaces that are between 1-1.5  inches to allow for large beaks.
